Robin and Virginia have been friends for almost four decades, sharing too many fond memories of family and friends to list. Seven years ago Robin invested in her first Gammill Longarm quilting machine, and Virginia followed soon after joining two minds of unique creativity.
In conjunction with Robin's excellent eye for design and color, and Virginia's artistic insight to seek ideas and anticipated themes for their next patterns and collections, they are a perfect match outside their grafted relationship.
Both Robin and Virginia have vastly different backgrounds in business yet both bring their strengths to the table while creating, building and producing all facets of each quilt sample and pattern. While Robin manages her farm, and now in the most recent months: her parents adjacent farm and property with all its demanding dynamics, she has been able to build the workshop studio on her premises of 10 breathtaking acres in Colton, OR. Located onsite as well is a quaint bungalow that can be used as the perfect location for a small sewing Retreat for up to 10 ppl. From full day Classes and workshops - to a sweet, perfect venue for a picturesque, serene, and much enjoyable Quilter's B's.
Robin's natural ability to visualize wonderful patterns, layouts, and the perfect block placements with the use of EQ7 always make for the next exciting project to add to their ongoing, growing inventory. Even with a simple sheet of graph paper, the ideas were nonstop. Their favorite pattern technique includes a good amount of appliqued images with fantastic backgrounds, with a multitude of prints for color. They encourage many finishing touches: from tassels to lots of crystals. Appliqued images are finished with coordinating decorative threads. As an extra wonderful bonus, both Robin and Virginia's adult kids are talented pen and ink artists, therefore contributing to many of the patterns? templates.
Virginia's background has been and still is within the hospitality industry within the arena of full service resorts, hotels, and vacation ownership destination properties, booking groups for all levels and types of businesses and organizations. Her forte are Retreats and incentive corporate travel. While working in her home office as an independent contractor as a third party venue search service with a renowned global organization, she is available to assist any Planner to find the perfect venue and concessions for your next Program: business or pleasure, and of course. Quilting Retreats; including Cruises! From start to finish: Virginia will do the venue search, negotiate, contract, execute and if needed, assist in all the needed details of meeting rooms, catering, menu's, and recreational activities.
